Dr Wang is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at the National University Hospital. She specialises in the diagnosis and management of urological cancers, with a focus on minimally invasive surgical techniques and cancer survivorship.
PHILOSOPHY
Dr Wang is committed to providing patient-centred, holistic prostate cancer care that is grounded in both clinical excellence and compassion. From diagnosis through to treatment and beyond, she works closely with each patient to understand their individual needs, preferences, and concerns.
Her goal is to ensure that every man feels supported and empowered throughout his cancer journey. Whether it’s active surveillance, surgery, or long-term survivorship care, each treatment plan is tailored to balance medical effectiveness with quality of life.
By combining advanced diagnostics, minimally invasive techniques, and close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, she strives to provide care that is not only evidence-based — but also deeply personal and human.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
Dr Wang obtained her medical degree from the National University of Singapore and gained fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. She completed her Master of Medicine (Surgery) and received Specialist accreditation for Urology.
She was awarded the College of Surgeons Gold medal for being the best performing surgical trainee in the national Urology Specialist Exit Examination.
As part of her specialist training, Dr Wang served as Chief Resident and was selected for the Singapore Chief Residency Programme in recognition of her leadership and clinical excellence.
From 2022 to 2024, she completed a prestigious Uro-oncology Surgical Fellowship at The Royal Marsden Hospital in London, one of the world’s leading cancer centres. There, she trained in complex open, laparoscopic, and robotic procedures including radical nephrectomy, cystectomy, prostatectomy, and pelvic exenteration.
